About Us – HeartLine Naija

I didn’t start HeartLine Naija because I had extra time. I started it because I couldn’t ignore the patterns anymore.

Working in community hospitals  and now in neurology  I’ve seen too many strokes. Too many families caught off guard by something that started with high blood pressure. The truth is, it’s not always about access to the best hospitals. Sometimes, it’s about access to a simple blood pressure cuff. To education. To knowing what signs to look for.

That realization hit even harder when I thought about Nigeria where my roots are and where so many of our aunties, uncles, neighbors, and elders don’t get the chance to “catch it early.” Where people normalize symptoms because clinics are far, expensive, or nonexistent. Where prevention often feels like a luxury.

HeartLine Naija was born out of love and urgency. Not from a corporate boardroom  but from my lived experiences. From my desire to change the outcome for someone else’s mother. Someone else’s brother. Someone who just needs the right tool and the right knowledge to have a fighting chance.

We’re not waiting for people to find care. We’re bringing care to them through blood pressure screenings, community education, and culturally rooted support that meets people where they are.

We’re filling a gap.
Because too many people still go without the basic tools and awareness that could change everything.

This is about access.
About awareness.
And most of all  about action.

Not later. Now.
